Hand crafted Shekeres made from gourds harvested at local farms.   Each instrument is cleaned and treated by hand.  The design at the top of the neck is created using pyrography.  The hand tied net is embellished with Czech glass beads (As long as supplies last.  Czech glass beads were once a vibrant cottage industry, but are no longer being made.)  Alternative beads are available, so no worries about the continuation of this tradition.  Color palette is somewhat limited, but design patterns are endless. Prices range from $150 to $550 depending on gourd size and complexity of design. Gourd tones vary depending on thickness of the skin, size and shape.  These instruments are designed for crisp precise sound.  The are best played in an ensemble of 3, each with distinct range of tones that create a chord.
